This time @angrychefnumsi is in the hosting seat and he interviews Marcelo Baez, albeit with Tilley and myself as their microphone connected audience. Marcelo is an illustrator and comic book artist working locally and Numsi, Tilley and myself spend an hour and a half picking his brain about all things comics, with our usual brand of conversational gymnastics.

In this one I have local artist, Shane from longhoundstudio.com over for a chat about comic books. We’ve crossed paths over the years and always have good chats about music and cartoons. Most recently he designed the poster for the Pork Chop headlined, Toxic Toybox; Chainsaw Mascara‘s album launch, hosted by Chaplin Arts. My mayne @traitism is planning his wedding, to me it seems stressful. Luckily for me I’m living vicariously through his experience and I spend my days putting photos of my cat on instagram. @Traitism is back and we talk about one of our favourite people; John Oliver, which inevitably leads to us discussing politics. Or at least, we make our best attempt. As always, go and have a look at thetraitist.wordpress.com where old mate Trait is becoming quite prolific with the blog posts. It makes me feel lazy. Well that, and the fact I’m lazy. The episode title is in reference to something that#KINGPHAT (artist formerly known as Delicious Driver) and I recorded as an intro but I decided not to include it. The Big Payback was a Wollongong community radio show on 106.9 VOX FM that ran for twenty years from 1990 until 2010. If you’ve listened to earlier episodes, you’ll know I have a very short, but memorable (probably not so much for them) relationship with VOX FM.

This week, the oh gee SKOOP, one of the founders of the show and one of the first hip-hop artists in the region, sits down and educates me on the early days of hip-hop culture, in this region, country and around the world. I’d like to send a colossally massive thanks to SKOOP for coming down and waxing philosophical with me.
